Celebrate American Craft Week
American Craft Week is an opportunity to celebrate the wonders of American craft. Every day thousands of American artists share their vision and talent by producing amazing hand-made decorative and functional objects. And every day thousands of craft retailers share their love of these items by displaying, promoting and selling them. As one craft artist put it, “this is the creative economy!” The Cumberland Valley was recognized as #6 in a national poll of the Top Ten Towns for Craft Lovers! To acknowledge and celebrate American Craft Week, metalledwith is opening its studio doors for an Open House. Find location and contact information about our open house here. Visit the ACW website to see other events in Pennsylvania and find other local events in the Cumberland Valley here.
During the metalledwith Open House, visit the artist studio and workshop space (at the back of a residential property at 110 Forge in Boiling Springs), see demonstrations of wirework and textural techniques and potentially try your hand at basic metalworking. This is also the best time to talk custom holiday orders early as metalledwith will be taking maternity leave before the holiday season this year! Talk with Richelle to place orders that are expected to be complete for pickup by the Fall Into Fine Craft show in the last weekend of October.
