New Work: silver and copper filigree
Before the Fall into Fine Craft Show, I decided I wanted to try out something a little different. It was not a monumental adjustment in materials or design, but the end result feels like a refined product.
Smaller, silver bezels make for a more delicate look than the original bezels. The leaves contained within are even smaller than the standard necklaces, making them more difficult to obtain.
As well, the second and third copper filigree pieces were made. The first has a small chestnut oak inside. The other has a bright red hornbeam leaf adorning it. I have seen some beautiful filigree work made by others, but I haven’t yet seen copper. These pieces contain metalledwith’s specialty of little leaves, collected from Pennsylvania’s woods.
Pricing on small silver necklaces is currently set in the $50 range. Copper filigree is valued in the lower $200s/upper $100s. Please use the contact form for additional information.
